Job description

The Department for Transport (DfT) Digital Resourcing Team (DRT), is a specialist resourcing team supporting the central department and DfT's executive agencies with their digital recruitment requirements. We use our expertise to drive, navigate and steer our managers and candidates through the recruitment journey, delivering an excellent experience to both parties.

This is a rare opportunity to join the Digital Team and be one of our specialist Resourcing Partners. You will work very closely with our vacancy holders to provide a professional and effective recruitment service that exceeds business needs and expectations. Due to the nature of the digital market, we use multiple methods to ensure we source the best candidates for the vacancy. This is includes creating engaging adverts, utilising external media such as job boards, using LinkedIn for networking and generally creating the most effective strategy. You will effectively own the process end to end which also includes ensuring the interviews and assessments are fair and compliant.
 

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited too:

• Take full responsibility for the life cycle of the campaign, using appropriate methods to facilitate the effective process and delivery of each.
• Proactively ensure that business needs are identified and work with the team to determine and deliver effective recruitment strategies.
• Discuss vacancy requirements, action points during the recruitment process give guidance throughout the campaign.
• Pre-empt and identify any candidate market issues, identify the solution and flag to the Senior Resourcing Partner and hiring manager.
• Actively source through appropriate channels for both passive and active candidate communities when needed.
• Effective management of your vacancies through our bespoke CRM system (Salesforce) and Management of candidates through our ATS.
• Provide knowledge and support to candidates throughout the application process.
• Where necessary provide your hiring managers with interview support, this can be candidate greetings, document management or sitting in on a panel for a series of interviews.
• Engage with our external service providers to arrange things such as branded advertising, mail shots, blogs and video content.

About you

As the ideal candidate you will have experience of working in a fast and dynamic resourcing environment. You will be a hands-on recruitment expert, who possess exceptional interpersonal skills and can demonstrate a high level of senior stakeholder management. You will need to have experience of managing a recruitment process from start to finish and have actively sourced for hard to fill roles.

The DRT is an excellent team and no two days are the same, so how you deliver the recruitment will largely be down to you to manage. Although we specialise in Digital vacancies, we do work across the wider DfT providing expert support on hard to fill roles.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.

• An Interview or An interview and a technical exercise (eg presentation, written, or coding exercise etc)
