Experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk required for a large public sector organisation based in Sheffield on a part time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring that supplier invoices / credit notes are entered onto the AP system accurately and on a timely basis, matched to the correct Purchase Order where one has been raised.
  • Closing the period & rolling over into the following period.
  • Reconciling the ledger balance to general ledger.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

This search is not limited to any industry. Previous experience is key to this recruitment:

  • Good IT skills are required.
  • Experience of working independently and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances is essential.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for requesting and providing information with courtesy, tact and effectiveness is essential.
