The opportunity

The UK Microsoft Practice provides industry-proven professional Microsoft Subject Matter Experts! You will have an opportunity to develop into broader Microsoft technologies.

The technical team within Microsoft Practice provide Microsoft based services to support the functional and development teams for both Applications Management and project implementations.

Expected work will be to compliment the Microsoft services with strategy, advice, and configuration of O365 (Feature set including SharePoint online, Power Automate, Teams, PowerBI etc) and Azure environments and subscriptions.

A good balance between technical understanding of the Microsoft platform and its implementation requirements and the functional processes it provides and how these functional processes benefit customers.

This is a permanent role that will require the successful applicant to gain security clearance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Plan and estimate required activities within a full project lifecycle
  • Adopting standards from Atos Knowledge Management framework including Forecasting and Budgetary management and Gate Reviews
  • Ensure requirements are gathered from the business and user community and ensure they are met using appropriate consulting and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams (functional and technical) in delivery of project activities.
  • Prepare detailed work plans and schedules.
  • Development of strategy roadmaps to include business benefits from each module to address customer requirements.
  • Report progress to project management in a timely and effective manner.
  • Complete activities to pre-agreed budgets, time, and delivery dates.
  • Deliver documentation to agreed standards and procedures.
  • Assist in pre-sales and bids and act as the Microsoft Practice representative
  • Help develop future offerings and services which differentiate Atos in the market.
  • Assist with the smooth and timely transition of new Customers / new Solutions into the Practice.
  • Maintain close working relationships with other team members and sub-contractors.
  • Manage and work effectively with 3rd parties, offshore teams, and consultants.
  • Complete project implementations into Service and Application Management Acceptance

The role uses the remote access technologies that come with Microsoft 365 and Azure. The role can be based at local Atos sites and has the capability of home working, particularly in the current COVID 19 climate. There will be the potential to travel to client sites as needed by the business.

 

Skills we can’t do without:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the O365 and Azure Platforms.
  • Documentation for O365 and Azure solutions
  • Project Management
  • IT Service Management
  • Change Control Management
  • Custom Code Management
  • Experience in deploying at O365 and Azure solutions (including Migrations to the platform and Exploitation / Adoption of the Feature set)
  • Ability and experience demonstrating Microsoft O365 and Azure solutions in detail.
  • Takes initiative to keep skills up to date and maintain awareness of developments in the industry sector.

 

Skills we’d like:

  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Experience developing strategy documents and/or roadmaps for Microsoft O365 or Azure platforms
  • Qualifications in Microsoft (O365 / Azure) Exams
  • Have some understanding of Analytics and Reporting in Office 365.
  • Understanding of Active Directory both on premise and the cloud.
