Technical Expertise: Piling and Geotechnical

Location: London, South-East project locations

Overview: Representing the Geotechnical Piling discipline to include work on an array of piling projects in the South East region.

Are you a HSE professional who with the ability to effectively communicate and implement HSE strategies? Our specialist business Expanded self-deliver civil and concrete structures both for Laing O'Rourke and the external market. They are the UK Leader in Reinforced Concrete basement, sub and superstructure frame construction.

Do you have a passion for innovation and a flair for implementing ideas on site? Can you become our trusted advisor and help keep our employees safe? Then you could be the health and safety professional we are looking for.

You will work closely with project leadership and site teams to review and continuously improve HSE and promote our strategies. This means moving away from traditional practices and non-value adding process.

• What the success profile for the suitable applicant looks like:
• A facilitator with the ability to motivate teams and identify training needs
• Someone that can analyse, report and improve on current practices
• Passionate about health, safety, environment and wellbeing in the work place

Some of the expertise required in the full lifecycle include:

• Work with various stakeholders to create effective HSE improvements and roll out initiatives
• Provide support to facilitate HSE agendas for the business
• Work collaboratively with teams to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement
• Be fully involved in promoting HSE on projects, in the office and work with joint venture partners
• Become the trusted advisor for the groups you work with and help to transform the way HSE is viewed

The role will be working in the South East and London with the main office based at Dartford. You will be required to travel to other sites nationally when the need arises.
