We are continuing to expand our London presence and are seeking an experienced Leveraged Finance Associate to join our Macquarie Capital Advisory & Capital Solutions team in London.

Macquarie Capital is the investment banking and principal investment arm of Macquarie Group and our London team delivers independent M&A, capital markets and debt advisory services to financial and corporate clients throughout Europe. Macquarie Capital Advisory & Capital Solutions focuses mainly on sectors spanning TMT, FIG, Services, Software, Consumer, and Healthcare.

As an associate within the Leveraged Finance team, you will work on a variety of situations such as leveraged buyouts, acquisition financing and refinancing, among a broad spectrum of industries across both leveraged loans and high yield bonds. You will participate in raising secured and unsecured and unsecured debt and provide debt and capital structure advice.

You will perform credit analysis and prepare internal credit memos, collaborating actively with other teams (including investment banking sector and coverage teams) to produce client pitch materials and participate in client discussions. You will also prepare offering and marketing materials for loans and high yield bonds, such as information memorandums and prospectus, ratings/lender presentations and support associates / vice president in managing key transaction workstreams and internal teams

To be successful for this role, you will have between 4-5 years of prior relevant experience in investment banking, ideally within leveraged finance, and experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures and building financial models. You will be strong communicator and be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and organizational skills
