Job Details

Are you a specialist Research Analyst looking for the next step in your career?  Would you like to part of the top-rated Infrastructure Investor globally?

Recent growth in Macquarie Asset Management’s Thought Leadership offering has created a new opportunity for a motivated Research Analyst.  You will be joining our Thought Leadership team at an exciting time in its evolution, in a role where you can make a real difference.

You will be responsible for supporting Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets’ lead Economist in the production, delivery and marketing of research for our external clients and internal stakeholders.

Key areas you will focus on include:

  • Real Assets investing
  • Energy transition and sustainability trends
  • Long-run macroeconomic thematics

In addition to the production and writing of research, your will also be responsible for handling client requests, the preparation of presentation materials and general analytical work to support our fund-raising efforts.  Your ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders as well as persistence, drive and an outcomes-focused approach will ensure you meet the outputs required for this role.

Excellent analytical, written and communication skills, paired with attention to detail and a general inquisitiveness are key attributes for success in this role. You will have previous experience in a research role at another asset manager, sell side research firm, consultancy or think-tank.  Real Assets research experience would be an advantage, but general investment and/or macroeconomic research would also be applicable.

If you have a passion for Real Assets or general investment research and are looking to take ownership of your career – we would like to hear from you.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
