Job Details

Macquarie Asset Management division has an opportunity for an experienced candidate to join the team in our London office.

Work within the EMEA Transformation & Projects Team as a Project Manager, where you will be a key member of a global team and will be responsible for leading large projects or workstreams as part of broader programs. Projects or workstreams may include, but are not limited to, systems implementations, strategic change, process improvement and other technological advancement initiatives. You will work closely with Investment, Fund Management and Operations, Compliance and Technology professionals in all Macquarie Asset Management locations.

As a Project Manager, you will demonstrate your deep knowledge of consulting principles to analyse complex business problems and generate creative solutions, working across the organisation and with external product vendors. You will be a key contributor to all aspects of independently leading project teams and projects including planning, business analysis, monitoring progress, managing risks, stakeholder engagement, testing and benefit measurement.  You will identify, track and resolve issues that arise on your projects and lead business analysis to determine root causes for issues and proposed solutions.

Project management skills and comfort operating with moderate levels of supervision are essential for success in this role, along with attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Finally, your relevant asset management experience including business or technical project management and business analysis experience will be vital in this role.

Company

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
