As a Regional Learning and Development Lead you will support your L&D Manager and lead a team of facilitators to support the retail sector of our business. The role has 3 main components...
Projects - you’ll have your own business project and support by identifying learning needs and designing content to inspire, stretch and improve performance
Facilitation - you’ll help deliver important business messages throughout the season as well as running virtual and face to face skills based workshops
Regional Support - you’ll work closely with the Area and Store Managers in your Region, providing support and helping them meet their business objectives
Please note that this is a field based role, so you will be required to cover the Midlands and London. You will ideally be based within the region, in any of these areas and prepared to travel, sometimes at short notice.
About the role:
You
Acts as a champion of self-development and maintains an up to date operational working knowledge of the business including specific regional challenges
Takes responsibility for the design and creation of complex operational training interventions keeping them relevant and up to date
Can demonstrate the ability to lead projects through each stage of the project lifecycle
Facilitation
Acts as a coach for Area & Store Managers within Retail business
Uses coaching techniques to encourage and stimulate learning
Adapts style to the needs of the audience, ensuring that learning objectives are achieved
Regional Support
Works closely with Area Managers to support Stores
Provide coaching support across the Retail network
Attends Regional/Area Meetings when required
Team
Supports the Regional L&D Manager in the development of Regional Facilitators
Deputises in the absence of Regional L&D Manager
Works with the talent and management development team to pilot new interventions and provide feedback
Criteria
About you:
Knowledge & Skills
Experience of working in a fast paced customer focused environment
Passionate about learning for colleagues and self
Is able to build relationships easily and adapt style to different levels
Good communicator, both verbally and in writing
Has good planning and organisational skills
Able to work under pressure and manage volume
Essential
Experience of leading a team
Experience of training needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation
Retail or similar experience
Desirable
Project Management experience
CIPD qualified
Coaching qualification
