We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Innovation Lab to kick off and lead the start-up phase of the Innovation Lab. Position: Director of Innovation Lab

Location: Home-based

Salary: £56,740 (within the grade £56,740 - £68,770)

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Benefits: Enhanced pension scheme with 10% employer contribution, equivalent of 5 normal working weeks' annual leave a year, plus normal bank holidays, Dental Insurance, Income Protection and Group Life cover on appointment.

About the Role

As the Director of Innovation Lab you will manage the start-up phase of the Innovation Lab and be responsible for its overall success. You will closely manage and lead all operations and business components of the Lab and be responsible for leading the team’s pursuit of new products and services that have scalability potential to impact 20,000 children a year by 2030. You will also provide support to individual teams and engage the wider organisation in the Lab’s work.

Responsibilities

 

  • Actively maintain and promote the organisations Christian ethos and values
  • Manage the start-up phase of the lab
  • Oversee operational and business components of the Lab
  • Develop and inspire a high performing and creative Lab Team

 

About You

To flourish in this role, you'll need:

 

  • Experience within an Innovation Lab / Hub
  • Knowledge and practical experience of innovation and product development approaches
  • Experience in using and embedding innovation tools, techniques and ways of working.
  • Experience in using insights and analysis to generate strategic approaches
  • An established record of stakeholder change management experience
  • Senior leadership experience
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Project management skills with substantial experience delivering projects
  • To be a strategic thinker

 

We need you to be…

Personally, committed to the Christian faith. There’s an occupational requirement for the holder of this role to be a practising Christian, in order to promote the charity’s ethos and help others to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of our work.
