We recognize that the property industry is changing, and we invite you to be at the centre of that change. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us here at Knight Frank, and we are currently seeking a Research & Development Lead to join our multi-award-winning Geospatial team.

As part of our innovative and collaborative Geospatial team, you will be working to increase the impact of Geospatial information across Knight Frank through automation, continuous improvement, development of best practices, and by conducting meaningful research. There will also be endless opportunities for identifying and experimenting with emerging technologies – so if you are deeply interested in solving problems using technology and are committed to lifelong learning and continuous professional development, then this role is for you.

In the R&D Lead role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting analysis, design and implementation using Python, Esri, and other tools when needed
  • Troubleshooting and debugging Esri web apps and services
  • Web app development (e.g. ArcGIS JavaScript API, Web AppBuilder)
  • Geodatabase management (Esri/SQL Server)
  • Data extract-transform-load from a wide range of sources
  • Version control and repository management (GitHub)

To be successful in the R&D Lead role you will have following skills and experience:

  • A university degree incorporating Geographic Information Science or Computer Science, or equally from those with comparable training, qualifications or experience
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Experience working with a programming language, with geospatial and relational database management systems, preferable on professional projects using Python and Esri / ArcGIS.
  • Ideally experience working with national-scale geographic datasets, of ArcGIS online or ArcGIS Enterprise administration.
  • Prior knowledge of the Real Estate and PropTech industries would be advantageous, but not essential
