Social Worker
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to work as a key member of the Family Support Team, working with both In-patients and Community patients known to the hospice
There has never been a more important time to provide high quality, specialist end-of-life care to support patients and their families.
Position: Social Worker
Location: Keighley
Hours: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days
Salary: £32,409 per annum pro rata
Contract: Permanent

The Hospice is in Oxenhope, near Keighley. As well as expert palliative care, the organisation supports people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, working across Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven, and North and Bradford.
About the role:
The key objective of this role is to provide psychosocial support to patients and their families with complex specialist palliative care needs. As a key member of the Family Support Team, you will work with both In-patients and Community patients known to the hospice. You will be required to ensure current legislation and national guidance is adhered to within the social work role. The role takes the lead for the hospice in safeguarding and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality care.

About you:
As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work closely with the team providing psychological, spiritual, and social support for patients, families, and Carers.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Health Care Professions Council registration
- An understanding of the issues surrounding end of life care
- Experience of safeguarding
- Experience as working of part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
