A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the HR team at very successful business service provider in Ashton-under Lyne.

The Payroll Officer will join a busy department and will deal with payroll issues for a growing business of (Apply online only) employees including, Warehouse staff, Drivers, Office staff and Regional Sales Teams to name a few.

Responsibilities:

Act as first port of call for any payroll related issues that come through to the department
Respond to queries and provide accurate, timely and relevant payroll and benefits information as requested
Liaise with line managers ensuring any payroll changes are advised ahead of cut off times
Accurately process monthly payroll for all sites within the business ensuring accurate reporting
Ensure any adjustments which affect pay are reflected on the HRIS
Liaise with outsourced payroll provider resolving any issues in a timely manner
Ensure all sickness, absence, holidays and overtime is accurately processed
Manage pension and company benefits administration processes
Ensure operational compliance with all payroll deadlinesRequirements:

Experienced Payroll Officer/Administrator
Strong working knowledge of Payroll/HRIS systems
Experience gained in a large organisation (min 500 employees)
Experience in a Manufacturing / Logistics / Warehousing environment - preferred
Good working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
Experience of report writing and data manipulation
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult situations
Positive attitude and self-motivated

Hours of work:

Part Time; Office Based 15 -20 hours per week.

Flexible working but must be available on payday and around payroll cut off days.
