My client a leading media company are looking to hire a Technical Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis to support the group function.
Morgan Mckinley are exclusively partnering with a multinational media company who are looking for an immediate Transformation Project Accountant to join them for 12 months. The role reports into the Head of Group Reporting and closely works with the Head of Finance Systems and will be responsible for supporting them on a Finance Transformation Project.
The project will centre around their consolidations process and systems and will involve a number of tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to:

Job Description
My client a leading media company are looking to hire a Technical Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis to support the group function.
Morgan Mckinley are exclusively partnering with a multinational media company who are looking for an immediate Transformation Project Accountant to join them for 12 months. The role reports into the Head of Group Reporting and closely works with the Head of Finance Systems and will be responsible for supporting them on a Finance Transformation Project.
The project will centre around their consolidations process and systems and will involve a number of tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Responsible for leading the design and implementation of an improved consolidation system and process, translating requirements into functional specifications
- Rationalise the existing chart of accounts and other system master data
- Act as the main point of contact between the consolidations team and the systems team to help translate requirements into specifications and create reports
- Incepting and design of new system reports
- Testing of system solutions
- Provide IFRS technical support on new reporting requirements
- Stakeholder management
- Help improve controls and internal processes.
Skills and experience required:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Ideally have some experience within a practice environment
- Strong experience of using a finance consolidations system in a multinational group environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting
- Preference given to those who have experience of acquisitions
