Are you looking for a role where no two days are the same?

Do you have an excellent command of the English written language and a flare with numbers?

If so a role in Research Grants Administration may be waiting for you. As a Research Grants Administrator you will be assisting Group Leaders, scientists and students at CRUK-CI apply for and manage a diverse range of research funding to help tackle the most difficult problems in cancer.

Often working to tight deadlines, you will help identify suitable funding opportunities, ensure that each application submitted follows the scheme guidelines, proof read the non-science section for errors and help the applicant build an accurate budget that presents value for money for the funder but covers the full cost of the research being performed.

You will have experience of working in a financial setting and providing a high level of customer service. With a talent for retaining information you will help academics to maximise their use of funding and adhere to the terms and conditions of the funder. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely submission of invoices and expenditure statements and have the ability to foresee any likely budget issues throughout the term of the funding.

Working as part of a team but with the ability to work independently you will possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and be confident in dealing with individuals at all levels of seniority.
