The Stress Management Society is looking for a bright, motivated and switched-on self-starter to join its friendly, ambitious team at an exciting time when it is ramping up its focus, and expanding rapidly.  

The new SMSer that we seek will focus on sales and business development. This is a challenging and highly-rewarding role, which offers a wide variety of experiences and opportunities to be a part of the team that is defining the wellbeing industry.

Your job will involve:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers
  • Planning and supporting relationship management/ business development activities, such as corporate events, conferences, promotions and exhibitions
  • Growing and developing key accounts
  • Constant collaboration with our Marketing and Programme Management team
  • Carrying out on-going competitor analysis
  • Dealing with in-bound customer enquiries
  • Proactively manage the sales process and engagements to achieve sales goals
  • Take ownership for sales proposals, create the first draft as required and collate all input to produce high quality, coherent, consistent and complete documents
  • Review the sales funnel and enquiries, in terms of risks and opportunities, undertaking assessment and pre-qualification of the opportunities to enable the appropriate use of resources
  • Prepare presentations and other materials for client/ prospect meetings, taking minutes and following up on actions on behalf of the sales director, gaining input from others as required
  • Attend relevant sales meetings to ensure that all relevant information from a potential sales engagement is available and fully understood, documented and logged on our CRM.
  • Take responsibility for sales processes to assist the team to follow them and improving and automating them to make them more effective and efficient
  • Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date with sales progress
  • Support with the management of the company CRM system, assisting with the post-sale handover process to the Project team
  • Participate in and actively support other company initiatives to improve the sales reach and brand awareness
  • Sales Administration
  • Re-engaging lapsed customers
  • Attending best-in-class training to develop knowledge, technique and skills
  • Representing the friendly face of our brand at customer meetings, trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

Skills and experience that we are looking for:

  • IT skills, especially using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A determination to get results
  • Someone who works well both on their own and in collaboration with others
  • A passion for wellbeing and a desire to make a difference
  • Confidence, enthusiasm and a positive outlook!
  • Two or more years’ experience, ideally in the Health & Wellbeing sector, including negotiating contracts and delivering board level pitches/presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good time management
  • First-rate IT skills, especially using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A determination to get results
  • Someone who works well both on their own and in collaboration with others
  • A passion for wellbeing and a desire to make a difference

Package £23,000 - £25,000 pro-rata dependant on experience + Annual Performance Linked bonus scheme.
