The Role

The Country Study Specialist (CSS) is responsible for providing project co-ordination and operational solutions to support Country Study Managers (CSMs) and to provide clinical trial oversight to local study teams to enable effective trial management.

You will ensure that you are able to provide essential operational co-ordination and support to CSMs and Local Study Teams (LSTs).

Responsibilities

Your passion to deliver commitments on time will help you proactively contribute to study start-up and patient recruitment strategies and activities to support efficient trial management, as well as provide input into project management and monitoring plans.

Using your proven project management skills, you will be able to support the CSM by ensuring that Monitors have site recruitment plans, site activations are happening according to timelines and non-productive sites are closed.

Your ability to build effective relationships will enable you to perform and coordinate site level feasibility activities, including evaluation of patient population and final site selection.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will act as a single point of contact for Contract Research Organisation (CRO) monitors for (CTM) related activities and will be able to provide feedback to local vendor management on performance of CTM CRO staff as required.

Your ability to manage multiple tasks will allow you to create and/or maintain country recruitment plan for assigned studies and to ensure all country ethics / health authority approvals are in place for assigned studies.

Experience & Qualifications

You will be educated to a University Degree level or equivalent preferably in a medical/science-related field. Your prior work experience demonstrating knowledge and understanding of clinical trials will be essential for this position. Previous experience managing projects will also be desirable.

You will have experience working as part of a team with a proven ability to make an active contribution to the team's performance and teamwork. You must also be able to work independently with limited supervision, should you be required to.

You will be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with high flexibility and use your proven project management skills to work with a variety of different systems and stakeholders and deliver commitments on time.

You will need to be self-motivated and display a high level of initiative and resourcefulness. Strong attention to detail is a must for this position, as is a demonstrated computer literacy, including the  usage of MS Office software, web-based systems and databases.
