Job Details

Are you passionate about early years talent, and developing the next generation to enable a successful engaged and diverse future talent pipeline?  This is the role for you.

In this recently scoped role, you will be responsible, in partnership with Global and Regional Talent teams, to design an emerging talent development and experience pathway, enabling us to identify and develop future talent and leaders earlier in their careers.

You will partner with peers and the business Leadership team to support an analyst experience project in our Capital Markets business.  Using the outputs of this project, you will work with the leadership teams and HR partners across the region to review and evolve the emerging talent experience for all junior hires across EMEA.

As you evolve our emerging talent experience you will also partner with our Early Careers Recruitment team to support their programs and consider how our entry routes align to the emerging talent development and experience pathway.  Alongside this, you will support our diversity & inclusion strategy in region by considering how our diverse talent not only ‘get in’ but ‘get on’ at Macquarie, and act as a strategic partner to our Macquarie Group Foundation to support our businesses on addressing critical social mobility strategies across the region.

Finally, you will take a lead role on how we build our data capability, and governance frameworks, to track and measure the success of our emerging talent cohorts across the region to better enable us to identify opportunities for our business.

To thrive in this role, you will be a true collaborator, able to partner with and influence multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes. Aligned to our broader transformation agenda, your curiosity, creative mindset, willingness to push boundaries and challenge the business will see you drive innovative solutions for our emerging talent development and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in designing and leading talent development and/or experience interventions, pathways, and programmes, ideally with expertise in the emerging talent population.  You’ll be a strong communicator who is at ease with building new relationships and influencing stakeholders.  Your ability to adapt and pivot will see you work well in our fast-paced business and accelerate our emerging talent agenda.

You will have a passion for the next generation of talent, diversity and inclusion and a keenness to understand how overall employee experience, including alignment to purpose and values impacts how we engage and retain our future talent pipeline.

Company

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
