We have an excellent opportunity within our Cyber Security team based in the Luxembourg or London office.

Your Reporting Lines: 

The Information Security Officer will report into the business-aligned and regional, Divisional Information Security Officer (DISO).

Your Impact & Contribution:

The Information Security Officer will develop shared collateral for communicating cyber-related issues to business, compliance, risk, and technology teams. Applying your analytical mindset; identify opportunities for facilitating the continued adoption of Macquarie’s cyber strategy. 

The Information Security Officer will participate in process improvement initiatives that will increase the capabilities of the Identity and Cyber Security team and the organization’s resilience to cyber threats.

Your Responsibilities:

Serve as a point of contact for internal customers, including business leaders; deal teams; technology leaders; and risk or audit team members. 

The Information Security Officer will provide input on the identification and remediation of gaps between the business strategy and the central cyber strategy.

Your analytical excellence will be utilized as you support the delivery of periodic cyber reporting to internal leadership teams, risk committees and subsidiary boards. Further, you will be tasked with providing information security/cyber security expertise to divisional legal and commercial teams during mergers and acquisitions, contractual and other commercial activities.

First class communication skills are required for supporting the central security leadership team in the delivery of cyber security services to the aligned business. This will include advocating enhancements to the cyber security standards and the cyber security awareness syllabus. 

It will also involve responding to information requests from clients, internal and external auditors (including regulators). Maintaining an in-depth understanding of local regulations in Luxembourg and EMEA region and their respective cyber security obligations will therefore be essential to identifying cyber security gaps and advising on remediation measures.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • A strong passion for cyber security with knowledge and understanding of information security strategy and principles
  • Technology knowledge across the cyber security domains and cloud architecture
  • Experience in Operational Risk, Technology, Internal and/or External Audit gained within a financial institution or professional services firm.
  • Ability to articulate cyber security issues to non-technical stakeholders, and to communicate with clients and regulators.
  • Familiarity with the common information security frameworks (e.g. MITRE, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO27001 CIS)
  • A mindset that is focused on championing an inclusive and diverse culture, understanding the importance of continuous improvement, and maintaining a commercial perspective.
  • Proficiency in French and/or German would be an advantage.

 Your Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related area and completed by industry qualifications (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CISM, CCSP, CISSP, GSLC, GNSA, SSCP) or relevant postgraduate degrees will be advantageous.
