Working for a specialist niche manufacturing business, who offer solutions to a range of industries using the most advanced technology. This global business is seeking an individual to offer HR support.
Job Description:
The purpose of the role is to provide a proactive and effective operational HR service to managers and employees. In addition, to support management by co-ordinating the Health & Safety agenda to ensure legal compliance and to maintain a safe and productive working environment.
Advising and coaching line managers on all operational employee relations issues
Update all HR related policies and processes to be compliant with legislation
Provide HR guidance and support to managers on all elements of the employee life cycle
Serve as a liaison between employees and management to actively build engagement to prevent and resolve disputes
Maintain a proactive dialogue with the Plant Manager to anticipate resourcing needs
To take accountability for the highest candidate quality and shortest time to hire, in a cost-effective way either using direct recruitment or the use of employment agencies
Monitor and benchmark local market wages and employment conditions, making recommendations as required
Structure an informative and welcoming induction for new starters
Providing support with overseas visitor arrangements
Work with managers to identify high potential employees and outstanding performers and discuss ways in which they can be further developed and engaged
Ensure relevant training agreements/development plans are administered
Act as the central point of contact with training providers and manage the Apprenticeship Levy account
Co-ordinating site UK legal compliance e-learning training
Assist with the formulation of HSE documents, meeting minutes and notices
Order HSE-related goods and services. e.g., HSE Equipment & Calibration, First Aid Supplies, HSE training and refresher courses Candidate Requirements:
Strong communication (verbal and written) including the capability of providing direction and feedback to internal and external stakeholders
The HR Coordinator will have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively and constructively in a team environment and independently
Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability
Developed and practised problem-solving and decision-making skills
Confidentiality and personal integrity
Good standard of further education, with demonstrated abilities in Maths and English
CIPD Level 3 desirable
Health & Safety qualification desirable/training provided
Experience working with HR and benefits platforms is desirable
The HR Coordinator will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Hours: Part-time - can be flexible to suit (20-25 hours per week)
Salary: up to GBP25,000 per annum pro rata
