Are you looking for a rewarding role? We are looking for Support Workers who care about making every moment matter, regardless of their qualifications or experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the beautiful surroundings of three separate residential homes. No experience is necessary and you could even get a FREE transport to work!

Position: Support Worker

Location: outside Slamannan, Falkirk, Free transport from and to Falkirk Bus station!

Hours: Full time, part time or bank. There are a range of different shift patterns available to fit in with other commitments you may already have

Job type: Permanent, 48 hour contracts available

Salary: £10.13 per hour and enhanced overtime rates, you could earn up to £25,700 per annum

About the service

Set in beautiful surroundings, the service is made up of three separate residential homes on site. All the adults you will support have a primary diagnosis of a learning disability and may also have mental health or autism support needs and behaviours that challenge.

The team work closely with the individual, their families, local community, and professionals to ensure that an individual’s care and support is developed with a structured, meaningful and person-centred approach. In line with our Swanton Ethos.

You will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of the team.

Although an understanding of the role is desirable, it is not essential as training will be provided.

The role

You will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people supported to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.

Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.

Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.

General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care. As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided we very much welcome previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
