Support Worker

Are you looking for a rewarding role? We are looking for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers (children & young people) who care about making every moment matter, regardless of their qualifications or experience.

You do not need experience for the Support Worker position but will have a minimum of 2 years related experience for a senior role.

Positions: Support Worker and Senior Support Worker

Locations: Kettering and Rushen

Hours: Full time, part time or bank. There are a range of different shift patterns available to fit in with other commitments you may already have. Waking nights shifts which attract an enhanced rate of pay.

Job type: Permanent

Salary: £9.50 - £10.50 per hour, dependant on role and experience

About the services

There are three residential homes that support and care for children and young people in all aspects of daily living, their ages range from 6 – 19 years old. The team work closely with the individual, their families, local community, and professionals to ensure that their care and support is developed with a structured, meaningful, and person-centred approach.

The role

As Support Worker / Senior Support Worker you will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.

 

 

  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.

 

 

  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as personal care. As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
