OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading manufacturing business are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the team on a part time basis ( Mon/Tues/Fri). You will be responsible for accurately maintaining and calculating data to enable the processing of both monthly and weekly payrolls. You will assist with the provision of information to HMRC, pension provider, and managers throughout the business.
THE ROLE:
*Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll processing
*Ensure the payroll system (Sage) is effectively maintained with employee details
*Ensure hours are uploaded/inputted in a timely and accurately manner on a weekly basis to support the running of the payroll system and process
*Ensure all pay elements are recorded correctly for the correct monetary amounts to be paid/deducted
*Assist with HMRC actions/queries as and when required
*Understand pension requirements and ensure pension contributions are correct
*Act as a central point for payroll enquiries from staff, resolving queries and reporting any discrepancies to the finance team
*Maintain accurate records of pay and working hours providing reports as requested by Management
*Ensure processes and procedures allow for effective working
*Deal with any enquiries from employees regarding pay
*Compliance with UK Legislation
*Ad hoc projects as required
THE CANDIDATE:
You will have experience of processing weekly & monthly end to end payroll ensuring compliance with current UK legislation for statutory payments. You will have excellent attention to detail and take a proactive approach to work. You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with a wide variety of people
