Telford

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

3 days per week - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 22.5 hours per week

Up to GBP30,000 per annum pro rata

Our successful Telford client has a Part-Time Assistant Accountant vacancy to start ASAP. The role will be on a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This role is a job share and will report into the Financial Controller.

You will be responsible for:

* Month-end accounting including management of accruals and prepayments, fixed asset register, stock postings, payroll journals, intercompany and control account reconciliations

* Preparation of draft management accounts including investigation of key discrepancies

* Daily bank reconciliation and cash reporting

* Assistance with year-end audit preparation

* Preparation of VAT returns

* PAYE and NI reconciliation and payments

* Bank payments

* Support for credit control, sales ledger and purchase ledger

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an accounts department and completing month-end tasks. You will need to be diligent with an eye for detail and be competent using MS Excel.
