At Her Majestys Passport Office (HM Passport Office) were now expanding our Administrative Team to ensure the public gets the best possible service, both now and in the future. We are the sole issuer of UK passports, delivering 6 million passports to the UK population every year. Were also responsible for the passport validation service (PVS) and for civil registration services through the General Register Office (GRO) - therefore CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) clearance will be required by all successful candidates.

This is an exciting opportunity; you will work through Brook Street as a temporary worker for an initial 6 week period and once your training has been completed and successfully passed, you will convert over to a Fixed Term Contract with the Home Office directly, which will run until August 2023.

As an Executive Officer, your main task will be to manage a team that processes passport applications. Day to day, you will:

" Manage performance to meet targets for quality, efficiency and customer service, as well as customer complaints and correspondence.
" Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the teams work.
" Ensure that customers are dealt with in a prompt, courteous and helpful way.
" Manage the attendance and availability of staff to meet likely demand.
" Brief staff, complete the induction of new team members, manage individual performance levels and make sure each persons development needs are met.
" Manage your time effectively, meeting agreed service level response times.
" Take on other EO Casework roles that may apply, e.g. Interview Officer or Counter Team Leader.

The public are relying on us to process and deliver passports quickly and accurately. Its therefore important that youre:

" Professional
" Detail-focused
" A skilled team leader and communicator

These roles are part time evenings, Monday to Friday working 5pm to 10pm, equating to 25 hours each week. HMPO are allowing flexibility around the total hours each week, the minimum you can work is 12 hours, this may suit applicants with another role or at University for example.
