This is an exciting opportunity for an Embroidery specialist with industry experience to play a key role contributing to teaching and learning in our Fashion Textiles department at London College of Fashion. Currently based at the Lime Grove site, and moving to Stratford in 2023, the Textile Embroidery department promotes innovative learning and teaching to exceptionally creative students in one of the world's foremost centres of fashion education.

Providing one-to-one technical delivery daily, a high level of practical expertise with embroidery CAD/CAM associated software and Craft machine techniques is required. Candidates should feel confident preparing and delivering specialist technical workshops to groups of students with a wide range of ability and skill, in a variety of supervised studio, taught sessions and online delivery.

Your profile


We are looking for an engaged, enthusiastic, and creative person to join our existing team of Technical Teaching and Learning staff, contributing to existing work to further develop and create a world-class learning experience for our students. With a relevant graduate degree or an equivalent qualification or substantial experience, the successful candidate will have proven and demonstrable experience with a variety of industry standard Embroidery equipment, including craft and digital machines.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a self-disciplined manner, whilst adhering to an extremely high standard of customer care, are essential characteristics for this role. The post holder should be highly proactive, well organised, command excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills in addition to a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Experience of teaching and learning within an HE role is also desirable.

Please note this role will require flexible working patterns including evening and /or weekend work.
