A Lab is a co-located team who work together on initiatives to deliver value at pace by designing products and services that people find useful, easy and engaging to use. Typically, a Lab has a strong focus on complex problem solving in an agile environment where engineers are free to experiment and create innovative products which will transform the way our customers engage with us.

Our Insurance & Wealth (I&W) Labs are focused on improving support to our customers throughout their financial lives, with clear, straightforward customer journeys, helping empower them to make the right decisions on their long-term Saving, Investment & Retirement needs.

About the role:

As Senior Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving quality software solutions into production. You'll aim to deliver exciting customer driven solutions whilst reducing risk by coaching the team to embed quality engineering in every phase of the software delivery lifecycle.

You'll build the team strategy for making the most effective use of test automation for functional and non-functional testing. . You'll balance hands on automation expertise with coaching and building up Quality Engineering standards.

  • Deliver exciting customer driven solutions whilst reducing risk by implementing the right level of engineering artefacts through Agile testing

  • Driving our quality software solutions into production

  • Endorse modern testing approaches

  • Delivering real value in the way that we improve our automation

  • Contribute to Guilds such as Security, Accessibility,, Test Automation, Engineering according to your strengths and interests

  • Be a Quality engineering champion within Lloyds!

What we need from you:

We like people who come from a variety of backgrounds and having a diverse team. To be considered for the role as a minimum we would need to see the following in this rough order of priority:

  • A passion to lead quality engineering and automation

  • Extensive experience within a modern quality engineering role, with a good knowledge of the full development lifecycle

  • Experience working within a collaborative Agile team

  • Proficiency in 1 or 2 coding languages, preferably including JavaScript

  • Experience in creating test frameworks in a DevOps environment

  • Experience of both functional and non-functional testing

  • Experience in any of the following tools would be welcomed: Webdriver, Cypress, Postman, SauceLabs, Artillery, Performance Center, SonarQube, Burpsuite, aXe. PA11y, CA DevTest, Jira/Xray,
