What is the purpose of this role?

We have a role that has become available to be part of our MOJ team at Amey. Working in a secure environment, you will be carrying out a range of administrative tasks to support our operational team that demonstrates superb technical competency, delivering mission critical.

Based HMP Wymott (Leyland PR26 8LW) with occasional visits to other Prisons and Amey Offices

What will this role involve?

  • Undertake general administrative duties.
  • Maintain office systems in an orderly manner.
  • Take direction from NW Operations Manager and Account Manager.
  • Receives and disseminates information to site teams to ensure service delivery.
  • Assist with the delivery of services to the client using a case management system.
  • Input to and maintain spread sheets/databases/systems and produce and collate reports.
  • Raise purchase orders and arrange payment of invoices.
  • Support NW sites when required.
  • Undertake other basic business support duties as part of a team.
  • Role is both planned and reactive and takes direction from NW Operations Manager & Account Manager
  • Process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes/notes where required.
  • Collaborative working and cover colleagues from NE, Yorkshire & Humberside when required.
  • Additional mileage will be recoverable

What are we looking for?

  • Prison security clearance will be required for successful candidate.
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Familiar with/exposure to management systems or other similar data entry and reporting database applications.
  • Experience/use of Microsoft packages/IT Literate.
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Previous experience of working in a generalist administration/business support role.
  • Business Administration qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Friendly and professional manner.
  • Conscientious and confident approach to duties with a helpful attitude.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Enthusiastic and able to act with initiative.
