20 hours per week - Monday to Sunday over a 7 day rota

We are seeking a Waking Night Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Set in a residential area of Leicester, Sycamore Court is a CQC registered service providing long-term supported housing and personalised support for adults with learning disabilities who are aged 18-65. The role of Waking Night Support Assistant will include:

Providing a high quality, hands-on support service
Responding to calls should a resident need support in an emergency
Conducting bed calls and morning calls to a high standard
Maintaining a safe environment for residents, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices

Skills and experiences:

Ideally you will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, however candidates with a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Experience working as part of a team is essential
You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
A positive, 'can-do' attitude
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Mathematics, is essential
NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is desirable
