Part-time and remote work opportunity. Salary GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 pro rata

Our client is a start- up food manufacturer, launching imminently with a strong order book. The opportunity is both hands on and strategic. It requires a self-managing Supply Chain Manager to be fully responsible for service to UK retailers, through their 3PL warehouse and logistics partners.

Reporting to the owner, this role will be a multi-faceted position managing the organisation's overall demand planning, purchasing, inventory and service levels. It is fast paced and dynamic role requiring a highly driven and talented individual.

Responsibilities:

• Managing co-manufacturing process
• Inventory management
• Demand forecasting
• Implement disciplines and processes
• Purchase order management
• Determine key supply chain KPI's
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers
• Supporting manufacturing and delivery processes
• Planning and implementing logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
• Ensuring that goods are tracked from origin to delivery
• Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Working on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance
• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, co-partners and distributors

You will be resourceful and a solution seeker, with evidence of being able to work independently. You will have significant experience food manufacturing and are likely to have worked in the food industry managing supply to retail and ecommerce businesses.
