I am exclusively partnering a well-established manufacturing firm in Bedford. This role will suit an experienced Accountant who is looking for something Part Time.

Part Time Purchase Ledger Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Bank Reconciliation for all the bank accounts
  • Being first point of contact for all purchase and payment queries
  • Coding and checking of all invoices.
  • File invoices and supplier statement reconciliation
  • Ensure all receipts match the expenses.
  • Manage and Reconcile Petty Cash monthly and check petty cash reconciliation from multiple offices.
  • Protects organisation's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
  • Assist with VAT reconciliations
  • Any other adhoc duties that is within your capability

Part Time Purchase Ledger Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk/Accounts Payable assistant
  • Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of another Microsoft applications.
  • Experience of Sage 200 or other similar financial software
  • Experienced working in a financial control environment and able to demonstrate understanding of accounting issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills and be able to manage a busy workload independently.
  • Highly competent in analysis and interpretation of information.
  • Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy.
