Who are we looking for?

An inspirational Intensive Engagement Officer who will provide resettlement support to male offenders and ex-offenders, both in custody and in the community with the aim of supporting them to overcome barriers to their personal wellbeing and successfully reintegrate into society. In this role you will work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting to maintain professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To understand the support requirements of people under supervision of the Probation Service and experience of providing information, advice, and guidance to this client group.
  • The experience of delivering interventions in a group setting with research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • The Ability to listen and communicate effectively and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour
  • Developing practical and achievable resettlement plans and supporting the development of the interventions which are delivered alongside these plans.

IAG level 3, or equivalent experience is essential in this role.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
