The Role
We are looking for our first IT and Digital Coordinator. The role is to provide a friendly, efficient, and effective first level IT support for our staff, volunteers and facilitators. While our core IT support is provided by an external organisation, you will be a liaison for any serious or repetitive issues. You will also provide support for any IT projects that the organisation undertakes. A crucial part of the role is to maintain and provide support for all IT and digital systems and platforms such as JamF, Nexudus, Papercut and Wordpress.

You will have an eye for detail and have a good understanding of IT and digital. You will be a good team player and enjoy problem solving and forming good relationships with key partners. You have a passion for helping and getting things done and eager to learn new systems and ambitious to help maximise IT and digital.

Specific Responsibilities

1. To provide support for staff, facilitators and volunteers across IT systems and processes.

2. To ensure that new members of staff are set up with the equipment, IT and profiles they need.

3. Manage IT requests from teams in a timely and supportive manner, ensuring the adequate prioritisation of requests.

4. Take proactive ownership of problems and where possible resolving technical problems, and know how to ensure responsibility and accountability for actions taken and decisions made.

5. Manage and maintain hardware and software across PC and Apple equipment.

6. Build strong relationships with colleagues and Derby City Council IT department to understand how IT and systems can better enable effective working.

7. With appropriate guidance, explore opportunities for service and business improvement.

8. Provide appropriate technical support including:

* Face to Face, e-mail and telephone IT support to all staff, facilitators and volunteers based at all sites

* Basic Active Directory/ Office 365 Exchange Administration

* Administration of Office 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams

* Administration of Apple hardware and software.

* Basic networking configuration and troubleshooting

* Build and roll out of new laptops and software

* Setup and configuration of mobile phone and tablet devices

* Setup and support for IT required in programming, events and hires.

1. Track, and log service provider information to protect assets, components and ensure timely updates, contract renewals and life-cycle management for assets including hardware, software, data, licences and warranties.

2. Ensure data storage procedures on servers and cloud-based systems are simple and well maintained.

3. Interact with Derby City Council IT service providers to resolve "second-line" issues that emerge.

4. Support colleagues in planning, monitoring and reporting projects and programmes.

5. Support the procurement of IT and systems contracts

Support in any other adhoc projects as and when needed
