We're looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join our team, implementing an automation testing framework for applications based on midi-service architecture.

You will work with a team of highly skilled Developers and Test engineers, collectively ensuring that we deliver a truly seamless experience for our customers.


What you'll do:

* Implement an automation framework for backend, front-end web-based and mobile web applications based on midi-service architecture
* Implement feature files in this framework
* Build robust, concise and readable automation tests for backend services and front-end UIs
* Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and the wider team to define behavioural requirements and implement robust backend service tests
* Identify and write acceptance criteria for user stories
* Advocate best testing practices for the QA Team and wider engineering team

What you'll bring:

* Solid experience as an automation tester using Selenium/Cypress and Appium
* Expertise in BDD frameworks and Java / JavaScript / Python experience for test scripting
* A solid understanding of e-commerce / customer-facing online product retail systems and IoT / smart home tech and/or transactional platform systems experience
* Solid experience of identifying and specifying user story acceptance criteria
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. CodeShip), Git and an understanding of cloud based services such as AWS


Based in Osterley, London, this position will form part of an exciting new Sky team, reporting into the QA Lead. The role will be part of the Technology & Product function within the Sky Consumer business and have responsibility for delivering an automated testing solution for this new team.
