We are looking to recruit a Course Leader to teach, manage and develop the curriculum for MA 3D Computer Animation. This is a rare opportunity to lead on the academic development and student experience of a course in this exciting field.

The MA 3D Computer Animation resides within a suite of courses including BA and MA Animation, Visual Effects (VFX), Games Design, Games Art, and Virtual Reality (VR) and works alongside programmes in Film, Television, Documentary, Screenwriting and Sound. Courses in the Screen School all come together to promote a rigorous and exciting environment of exchange and collaboration to mirror the exchange that exists in industry and thus enhances the student experience.

We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious practitioner / academic / researcher with the vision to create and lead the MA 3D Computer Animation course, including management of the course team. You will set the course agenda, be responsible for its development, and maintain and enhance quality through your administration. You will lead the delivery of the course through your provision of inspiring and supporting learning opportunities as well as your effective management of resources, to provide a stimulating and nurturing teaching and learning environment.

You will establish and enhance professional, academic and research networks and partnerships to ensure that the course anticipates the changing needs of the industry, commerce and society. You will ensure the course remains relevant and up to date, maintaining industry connections directly within the course to enhance the student experience.

Creative and highly motivated, you'll be able to take up the challenges of enabling diverse postgraduate student cohorts to explore the discipline, to reach their full potential and to foster new approaches to practice and research. You will have the ability to lead and to work as part of a team, sharing your knowledge with colleagues and students alike.

Your talent for communicating practice-based skills and theory should be complemented by excellent administrative, management and organisational skills. You will be an excellent team player, be well-connected with industry and you will be able to take an active role in student recruitment.
