Support Worker

We are seeking Support Worker to support people with a learning disability to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

Our client has supported people with a learning disability to live the life they choose, in the community, at home, at work and in residential settings since 1987

Position: Support Worker (Day Opportunties)

Location: Hereford

Contract: Part Time and Relief - This role is shift work. (7am to 7pm)

Hours: 30 hours (Part Time) or 0 hours (Relief)

Salary: £9.17 per hour

About the role:

As a Support Worker you will ensure the people you work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting someone with a learning disability isn't just personal care; it's so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.

About you:

You don't need to have worked in supported living before to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You'll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided, we very much welcome previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
