The Role

Here at Amey we have an opportunity for an experienced DevOps and Integration Analyst to join a supportive and friendly IT team within the Utilities division. Offering a flexible work pattern - a hybrid of home and office working - you will be a key member of the team offering your IT insight to 800 end users across the business.

Ideally your background should have started from front line support, leading onto supporting integration of Business Systems with Enterprise IT Systems. This is a mixed role of 50% BAU Support & 50% Devops. The ideal candidate should be one who is currently in a Tier 2 Support Role. But in their spare time is growing their knowledge around automation, API, and Object Orientated Languages. But already has some demonstrable skills.

There are 12 locations around the UK and some infrequent travel to the sites may be needed for BAU activities, however the role offers genuine flexibility and a supportive culture

Duties

  • Assist clients with software, hardware and connectivity issues - 800 end users, 700 laptops/devices, 700 tablets/phones
  • Assist with software implementation and systems configuration
  • Undertake issue resolution for desktops/laptops, applications, mobiles, networks, telecommunications, and A/V systems
  • Test and perform system upgrades to maintain maximum system reliability.
  • Take the lead on designing and implementing automation to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
  • Provide solutions for exchanging of information from existing data silos

Experience required

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with: Power BI, Power Automate, REST API, MS Graph API, JSON, & XML.
  • Object orientated languages such as Powershell
  • Exposure to legacy toolsets and data types like SFTP, CSV, SQL.
  • Working knowledge of InTune, AzureAD, Azure DevOps, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Teams, ERP, and HR Platforms.
  • Windows 10 in a Azure joined environment, and Office 365 E5 License Entitlement.
