I'm currently supporting a fantastic and growing retail organisation based in the heart Cambridge who are looking to have someone join their team on a Part-Time basis to provide Desktop Support to their internal staff.
Although they're a fairly small team there is huge room for progression and development within this role from both a technical and responsibility standpoint. We're looking for someone with a strong technical skillset who also has excellent communication skills and thrives in a social environment.
Were looking for someone to work 24 hours per week, ideally 9am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday. However there could be some flexibility around how that is structured.
Please note we are looking for someone to be on site for the hours that they are working and unfortunately there is no on site parking. However the office is just a 15 min walk to Cambridge central train station and 10 min walk to the central bus station. The salary listed is the equivalent full time salary for 40 hours per week and will be pro-rated down to the appropriate working hours.
Key Tasks:
Responsibility for planning, installing and maintaining the office hardware, software and peripherals as well as providing primary support for office and guest users.
Interacting in person, by phone and with electronic messaging to staff and customers.
Explain technical issues to non-technical people as well as conduct internal training sessions.
We operated in a hybrid, SaaS-based setup using both PC and Mac devices and leverage Microsoft Office 365/Azure AD services as well as GSuite for mail and storage.
Experience Required:
Experience in Windows 10 administration with Active Directory
Able to troubleshoot user issues on PC, MAC and Mobile Devices as required
Perform hardware, software and peripheral installation and removal
Managing broadband, VOIP and mobile connectivity
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and Subnets
Passion for continuous improvement and striving to exceed expectation
Experience of running internal training and writing user documentationwould be advantageous
Enthusiastic and energetic comfortable with being proactive
For further information please contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge office
