Apex Resources urgently require a Part time Production Administrator for our manufacturing client in Port Glasgow.
Reporting to the Operations/Production Manager, you will be responsible for the daily administration of the production operations. This role is an important part of the smooth operation of the production facilities. Duties include a mix of activities from placing orders, maintaining certain stock levels, receiving goods in deliveries, and maintaining various systems relating to the manufacturing process and personnel.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Data input of previous day(s) production figures for daily morning meeting.
* Place direct and indirect materials orders as requested, progress orders and deal with queries as required. Book in materials and process the paperwork through our systems
* Log hours booked by both direct and indirect personnel. Maintain holiday and sickness spreadsheets along with our time and attendance system.
* Receive completed job packs and close out jobs as required.
* Take incoming telephone calls and forward to relevant personnel as cover for the Finance Administrator.
* Receive and take care of visitors as cover for the Finance Administrator.
* Supply weekly/monthly reports to the Operations/Production Manager and Managing Director, including Work in Progress statistics.
* Perform other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the production office.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Working in an office environment with experience of following procedures for data input, retrieval and documentation control.
* Previously worked in an administration role or have relevant qualifications.
* Be computer literate and have a good level of Excel, Word and Outlook skills. Having experience of Abaca ERP system would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Good attention to detail when inputting data and ability to verify data as required.
* Positive attitude and comfortable dealing with suppliers and key members of the Operations Management Team.
Your normal working hours will be 8.00am to 1.00pm Monday to Friday however overtime may be required. There is an element of flexibility in these hours for the correct candidate. Rate of pay will be NMW.
