Waking Nights Support Worker
We are looking for independent, dynamic, compassionate and hardworking individuals who are able to support individuals who are living in our community to help them become as independent as possible.
We welcome applications from Deaf, BSL Users and hearing people with a serious commitment to learning BSL.
Position: Waking Nights Support Worker
Location: Leeds LS7 1HX
Salary: £10.36 Per Hour
Hours: 9:30pm until 08:00am, there are Full Time and Part Time roles available.
Additional Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum, pro rata, pension and sick pay
About the Role:
When you start your role as a Waking Nights Support Worker you will complete a 12 week training programme to learn about your key role.
You will take on the exciting challenge of providing high quality health and social care support to Deaf individuals, many of whom who have mental health conditions.
As a Waking Night Support Worker you will be expected to ensure the safety of the people supported and to ensure people are supported to gain a good night's sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and following relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.
You will need to remain awake whilst on shift and will need to deliver a high standard of care and support. Sleeping on duty is not permitted at any time.
About You:
Due to the nature of this position you will need to have a minimum of level 2 British Sign Language, understand the importance of sensitive data and storing data in line with GDPR regulations, care regulations and the CQC.
If you have knowledge of safeguarding, working with young people, adults at risk or adults in crisis under your belt this would be helpful too– but not essential.?
