The Assistant Trust Administrator will manage a number of grant schemes that support science teaching in state primary schools around the UK. We are looking for a conscientious individual who learns quickly. Our ideal candidate will have a science degree, good IT skills including Word and Excel, a good writing style with correct grammar and spelling, a keen eye for detail, and some experience of general administration activities. (Science at 'A' level may be considered for the right candidate).
This is a 17.5 hour post, worked over 3 or 4 days. (Unpaid time off during school holidays could be offered to the right candidate).
The Edina Trust aims to enhance the teaching and learning of science at primary school level (see edinatrust.org.uk). The successful candidate will join a small team of 13 employees who work for two sister charities registered in Scotland but administered from Oxfordshire: the Edina and Kirkhouse Trusts. Both charities were established with funding from a local science company, and both devote the majority of their funds to science related charitable projects.
