The Head of Anti-Piracy Intel and Investigations has overall responsibility for delivery of Sky's enforcement and disruption strategy in the UK. The Head leads a team of 16 in the UK and is a member of the AP senior leadership team, with responsibility for working closely with anti-piracy leaders and teams in Sky's other markets, and sharing and adopting best practices." What you'll do:

 

  • Working with vendors and internal intelligence teams to identify the most significant piracy sources impacting the UK market, devising, in conjunction with the UK Director and other senior leaders across the AP group, Sky's enforcement and disruption strategy, and delivering that strategy.
  • Overseeing accurate and insightful data led reporting on the impact of enforcement activity.
  • Working closely with other members of the anti-piracy team, including PR and commercial functions, to improve the impact of enforcement action.
  • Leading a team of 16 comprising intelligence and investigations teams and a forensics team, with responsibility for efficient and joined-up tasking, processes, clear prioritisation and people development.
  • Working with investigations teams in other markets to share and adopt best practices, and with other leaders to explore cross-fertilisation opportunities
  • Seeking out new tools, solutions, and other innovations with a view to continually improving the reach and efficacy of the team's actions and the ability to measure its impact.
  • Being an effective and persuasive voice for Sky's anti-piracy interests with industry, trade associations, law enforcement, and government.
  • Managing team budget.

What you'll bring:

  • You will be a self-starter, able to quickly absorb new information and build and deliver a short, medium and long-term vision that complements the broader anti-piracy strategy and develops your team.
  • You will preferably be familiar with the UK criminal justice system and the role that private organisations can play in taking enforcement action both in conjunction with law enforcement bodies and independently.
  • You will preferably have some experience in the broadcast and media industry and/or with protecting intellectual property rights.
