Spectacular Group is a growing group of early years and children's activity providers, with our flagship brand being Jo Jingles (www.jojingles.com).  

Due to ongoing growth, we require a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team at group level and oversee the day-to-day finance activities for some of our subsidiaries.

This role is on a part-time, flexible working basis and will fit in perfectly with school and family priorities. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can initially commit to 15-20 hours per week. You will be based at home. 

The Role

As Bookkeeper you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks of the finance department, including the maintaining and updating of all financial records and assisting in preparation of monthly and annual management accounts.

Key duties include:

-        General bookkeeping

-        Accounts payable

-        Accounts receivable (incl. credit control)

-        VAT returns

-        Payroll

-        Assistance with budget setting & forecasting

-        Assistance with preparation of management accounts and month end reporting

The ideal candidate for this position will:

-        5+ years bookkeeping experience

-        Industry recognised accounting qualification

-        Experience working with both Sage and Quickbooks

-        Comfortable speaking on the phone with clients and suppliers

-        Excellent Microsoft Office skills

-        Highly organised with a close attention to detail 

-        Come from a small company background, where you have been involved in multiple finance duties and are prepared to get stuck into new projects

-        Be organised and comfortable in a “stand alone” bookkeeping position

You will be working in a great team with dedicated staff, many of whom are working on a flexible hour basis. You will initially be reporting directly to the Group CEO.
