What you'll do:

  • Help drive the future of our Products by harnessing the power and understanding of the data we have and need
  • Be Part of a team driving forward Information Architecture within Sky through the alignment of business information needs with the DTA Data Hub Strategy across multiple Sky territories (UK, Germany, Italy)
  • Bring organisation and structure to Sky's information landscape enabling data to be easily found, understood, and quickly provide business value
  • Contribute to evolution of Sky's Enterprise Data Model through by assisting the information architect team with knowledge of new and emerging data sets
  • Identify and map out new data required in the Data Hub to help the business create new insights and better products, whilst learning how to track data lineage and use Information Management tools
  • Own the Identification and maintenance of business and technical metadata using innovative methodologies and toolsets
  • Following the TOGAF framework, form a close working relationship with counterparts within architecture, utilising its guiding principles to ensure well designed, flexible, and sustainable products are delivered to the business
  • Work closely with delivery and development teams, ensuring architectural guidelines and recommendations are understood and followed, whilst being of a pragmatic mind to their needs
  • Keep the Data Management team informed of changes to Sky's data landscape, working to ensure Sky's data governance processes are followed and correctly applied to safeguard compliance
  • Embrace diversity within Sky and promote a culture of inclusion, trust, and transparency

What you'll bring:

* Previous commercial IT experience, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis, conceptual and logical modelling and design, and a core understanding of the GDPR and regulatory compliance
* Strong analytical skills, with a good working knowledge of SQL, and a history of designing and delivering successful initiatives in the data space, translating business requirements into data solutions
* Familiarity with at least one mainstream cloud technology (GCP, AWS, AZURE)
* A self-start entrepreneurial spirit, able to manage your own time with a Aair for producing innovative and practical solutions
* Presentation skills with the ability to speak confidently communicating principles, issues and solutions to a variety of colleagues and stakeholders effectively and comprehensibly.

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There's also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

Livingston:

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there's onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
