IM&T Associate - Short Term Workforce Planner

Would you like to be involved with workforce planning for Infrastructure Services which covers both IM&T and Site and Facilities? We currently have a vacancy for an IM&T Associate - Short Term Workforce Planner at our site in Barrow in Furness.

As an IM&T Associate - Short Term Workforce Planner, you will be working closely with Infrastructure Services stakeholders and SME's, supporting the development and execution of supply solutions primarily in the 0 - 18 months window. This will involve ensuring resource is utilised and aligned to business needs and individual aspirations, whilst understanding future skills requirements and any subsequent changes in demand, to develop and maintain an integrated picture.

The role will also involve aspects of Talent Management and Early Careers mentoring and development

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in broad range of responsibilities across two distinct areas in IM&T and Site and Facilities. There will also be the opportunity to engage at a Maritime sector level.

Your main responsibilities as an IM&T Associate - Short Term Workforce Planner

will involve:

  • Liaising with Stakeholders and SME's to establish the 0 - 18-month window requirements for the Function
  • Collating and maintaining a plan of the 0 - 18-month supply solution within the Function
  • Supporting the coordination of the early career's activity for the function.
  • Collating, maintaining and monitoring data to understand status against the budget/headcount/IBP input to inform decision making and input into business reporting as required.
  • Supporting the collation, management, reporting and monitoring of functional strategic WFP actions, ensuring people capability risks are understood and mitigations are progressed
  • Collating and analysing data to understand functional capability health, and develop plans to address any issues or risks
  • Development and maintenance of training plans aligned to development requirements and budget allocation. Support of and link into the long-term skills requirements.
  • Supporting Talent Management in terms of Succession Planning/Org Design/High Potentials and Managed Moves

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of workforce planning
  • Experience of or background in IM&T or Site and Facilities related role
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to collate and analyse data to identify areas of concern or risk
  • Proficient user of full suite of MS Office packages and other packages such as SharePoint

You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and pro-active, whilst able to work as part of an integrated team. You should have good negotiation skills and the ability to present data to influence stakeholders.
