Our fantastic client is looking for a Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant to join the team. If you are highly numerate, efficient, and self-driven, this is a fantastic opportunity to join and influence the internal operations of a fast-paced technology start-up. Previous professional experience at junior-mid level, within a start-up or SME in a similar role would suit this role well.

Working with, and supporting, the finance team, you will be a confident communicator with an appetite for self-improvement and learning. You will be comfortable juggling multiple time-sensitive tasks and you can pivot, adapt, and grow with the rapidly evolving requirements of the business. You will use your management accounting skills and expertise autonomously and confidently.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

This is 21.5 hours per week and office-based so you must be immediately available and be able to reach the office in south Oxford (OX4).

Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant Responsibilities
As the Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant, some of your duties will include:

Assisting with any financial reporting
Payroll support, including expenses, according to company policy
Budget planning support
Compliance including adherence to all key financial filing deadlines, and best practice under current tax legislation
Other financial administration and accounts as required, liaising with third party suppliers
Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant Experience
Our client is looking for a finance professional with some experience, who will be happy to support the team wherever needed with duties large or small. It is vital that you are adaptable, proactive, and collaborative, and happy to work in a hands-on approach.

You will be a confident and clear communicator who can translate numbers strategically and be skilled in day-to-day financial accounting and monthly management accounting processes.
