We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Architect who has a passion for delivering scalable and highly available Data Fabric solutions with an understanding of APIs, advanced analytics, data governance and data pipelines to join the Cloud Architecture & Tech Innovation team in DTA (Data, Technology & Analytics)" - Ritesh Ranjan, Lead Architect - Data Fabric & Integration, DTA


What you'll do:

* Work with the 'Lead Architect - Data Fabric & Integration' to identify the existing data and technology integration landscape; Assist in defining the future opportunities for Data Fabric; Build communication packs to help users adopt data fabric & integration technologies.
* Define the strategy for enhancing the European data hub with greater automation, increased data ops and incorporating automated intelligence into data acquisition, data preparation and data protection for batch and real-time
* Engage with enterprise architects, information architects and cross department architects to inform strategy and work alongside Cloud Architects and Tech Innovation architects to deliver proof of design and best practices into project deliveries
* Create a consistent methodology & process to share across the global team.
* Foster strong cross department and cross territory relationships to bridge gaps and facilitate discussion and alignment on strategy for data fabric and data ops. Gain buys in from data sources held outside of DTA to enable dynamic data mesh approaches and alignment to integration strategy.
* Work alongside the tech innovation function to build business cases for technology recommendations for Data Fabric, Data Ops and Data Unification. Demonstrating efficiency savings and projected speed to analytics for new data sources


What you'll bring:

* 10 or more years in role demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality architectural solutions covering a wide range of technologies including GCP, Tableau, Collibra, Kafka, ServiceNow, Control-M, TerraForm, Jenkins and Adobe
* Proven experience with API first architecture design, distributed systems (e.g., microservices, Virtualization) and cloud infrastructure for large scale data warehouse, data lakes, data fabric.
* Excellent knowledge of AI & ML and the benefits for leveraging within data integration, data quality, data unification and data ops, and experience of best industry practices of data virtualisation and integration.
* Deep understanding of data integration and transformation patterns such as messaging, ETL and ELT, and the benefits of a data fabric. Good knowledge of modern Master Data Management and analytical solutions with proven experience with one or more leading data integration tools (e.g. Talend, Databricks, Denodo, Snaplogic Qlik etc.).
* Strong written communication and presentation skills with confidence speaking with Other Architects, Vendors, Developers, Operations and Group Security.
* Experience working with data and platform engineering in the adoption of data ops at scale and strong experience in designing microservices and integration patterns, including containerised and serverless solutions

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There's also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

Brick Lane:

The closest tube station is Aldgate East and Liverpool Street is about a 10-minute walk. A bike shelter and showers await those who prefer two-wheeled transport.
