My client is a well run Chartered Accountancy Practice based in the St Albans area. Due to their current work load and the fact they have recently moved the majority of their clients to Xero, they are seeking an experienced bookkeeper who can review bookkeeping and VAT as well as assisting in the training and utilising of cloud accounting.

The firm is very open with regard to days/hours worked and are ideally, looking for someone for 2/3 days per week (or reduced hours over the week). The role is offered as a contract, and it would be reasonable to assume this will be for a 2 or 3 month period.

Responsibilities General bookkeeping

Review of client's transactions, sales and purchase ledger

Working with Xero, assisting clients and colleague in their training

Reviewing bookkeeping via outsource company

Experience of working to trial balance

Knowledge of VAT returns
