The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) East Midlands supports the delivery of high-quality research in the NHS, public health & social care, and other Independent Health Care settings across the East Midlands.

We are committed to providing the supporting infrastructure that allows research to take place in numerous settings across the Health/Public Health & Social Care settings. So that patients, carers and the public can benefit from new treatments and therapies, improved diagnosis and care, and empowered to live healthier lifestyles.

Hosted by the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, we work with partners to deliver research across Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. We are funded by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Our flexible workforce supports researchers with a flexible research delivery service to achieve high quality outcomes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of our CRN East Midlands flexible workforce Research Support Team/ Direct Delivery Team. We are looking for an individual with current clinical research experience, who is keen to gain more experience in conducting research across differing specialties and settings supporting commercial and non commercial clinical research. This post gives an individual the opportunity to support the delivery of clinical research across all specialties within Health, Public Health and Social Care Research.

This post fits into our existing Research Support Team which has a reputation for excellent research delivery and joins us at a very exciting time for the network.

We are seeking to appoint a Band 5 Clinical Research Practitioner, to be part of a small team of research staff within our Derbyshire Hub. The post holder will be based at our office in Babington Hospital, however extensive travelling across the county will be expected, and some travel across the East Midlands will be required.

This post is a 2 year Fixed Term contract within the NHS; you will be responsible for your own workload and support colleagues to carry out their caseloads of NIHR portfolio clinical research trials/ studies.
