"The staff have been fantastic, they couldn't have done better. I've been here and they've looked after me and kept me safe."

"Everybody has made such a difference to my life. It makes me think that perhaps I could go on and help somebody."

These are just a selection of comments from the people we support...

We are an independent charity and our vision is of a caring, supportive and inclusive society.

Our purpose is to prevent the causes and reduce the effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion.

Our Building Supervisors love the flexibility of picking up night shifts while doing something very rewarding.

We are looking for someone to join our accommodation based service in Bournemouth, which provides 24/7 accommodation and support for young people aged 16-18.

Could this be you?

Your focus will be to ensure that our buildings are safe and secure overnight for our residents who live there.

You'll need to stay awake, to be available as a point of contact for residents at any time during the night ensuring the home is safe and secure. This will also involve liaising with support staff at the start and end of your shift to ensure a good flow of information between staff.

As safety and security is paramount within this role, you will be expected to defuse any situations that may affect the health, safety or wellbeing of residents. A key function is to undertake health and safety checks and walk arounds throughout your shift.

You will need to adopt sound judgement to either resolve situations yourself, seeking support from peers and emergency services if needed. Demonstrating empathy and patience towards our residents is essential.

There will be tailored, specific training that will help you advance through a training pathway and progress your career at CCP.

Our close-knit teams of Building Supervisors, Support Workers, and Project Managers deliver their support over a rota pattern. We aim to accommodate people's preferences for work locations and shift patterns when possible.

If you are empathetic, driven, embrace opportunities and are willing to learn and reflect, we want to hear from you, to help us continue to achieve our vision and purpose.

Please note that whilst applicants with convictions, cautions, reprimands and/or warnings will not be exempt from applying, this role is subject to Enhanced DBS Vetting
