Select Recruitment has taken instruction from an established client based in Aubourn, Lincolnshire, to find a suitable Part Time Accountant / Administrator to cover a maternity leave position.
Job Summary:
Your prime role will be responsibility for the financial administration (including a small payroll) as well as the day to day management of a variety of Estate properties.
Key Skills Required
• Experience of computerised accounting software packages, preferably Landmark.
• Preparation of VAT records and reports.
• Preparation of bank reconciliation statements and identification of anomalies.
• Experience of property management.
• Experience of operating payroll systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to take pragmatic decisions regarding property administration.
Detailed Key Responsibilities Accounts
• To run the accounts function using Landmark software.
• To administer all purchases, sales and payments.
• To administer the VAT and partial exemption calculations and deal with monthly returns.
• To undertake bank and petty cash reconciliation's monthly.
• To provide monthly reports from Landmark and, in addition, a reconciliation of private property income and expenses.
• To administer the accounts for the Family Trusts and provide the Trustees with monthly cash reports.
• To liaise with accountants over annual audits and any necessary journals that might arise.
• To operate the payroll system for Estate staff.
Property
• To administer all estate properties and ensure all agreements are in place and any necessary maintenance work undertaken.
• To administer all the commercial and livery lets and ensure up to date agreements are in place and rents are paid in a timely manner.
• To discuss all renewals, rent reviews and maintenance prior to implementation with the Estate Manager.
• To administer the property data using Prime Property software package and to ensure that the records are kept up to date.
• To provide property reports for the Trustees as and when required.
Hours are approximately 25 hours - spread over 4/5 days. Our client is prepared to be flexible on this but can't go below 20 hours and 3 days a week.
Duration: December 2021 - October /November 2022
